Hi all, I've been searching for my first pin and I have a couple irons on the fire, not sure which to go with. I have no idea about value long term or which one would have more replay value as an only pin (at least, only one for now).
The prices I mention here are in canuckistan dollars. Budget is $1000 max and I'd rather not spend the whole wad, but for a good deal I will. Just wondering if the one I think makes most sense is the right one to buy.
First is a Gottlieb Sure Shot (EM). Good playing condition, new rubbers, bulbs, etc... cabinet needs paint to be real nice but no big deal. Seems to be rated highly on here. This is local to me and he's asking $800 OBO. Leaves cash in my pocket especially if I can haggle a little. Downside for me is it's all rollovers, very little variety it seems.
The other one is a Bally Black Jack (SS). Good playing condition, everything works, very nice condition over all, even the cabinet. This one is 2 hours away and it's $1000 firm (haggled down from $1400), which would be my max budget.
Servicing either machine would not be an issue for me, but thinking SS might be a little less annoying.
Any input is appreciated, What do y'all think? Thanks!
