Just picked up a super soccer today in pretty rough condition. The head is falling apart and some of the score reels are locked. Also whoever owned it took out the coin mechanisms and let it set in a humid place.image-242.jpgimage-242.jpg
It needs some loving and taking care of.

What do you think of it?

#5 10 years ago

It has all the parts and a nice used back glass

Here's the nicer back glass

The only thing that is missing are the coin mechanisms

Made some progress today
1. Removed and scrubbed all showing chrome pieces
2.worked on cleaning all switch contacts and got wood for back box
3. Replaced all rubber, cleaned the playfield, and placed all playfield plastics on the game.

The man I bought it from smoked so we put a scented freshener in it.
He was also kind enough to give us a space glider backglass

Does anyone know where I could get replacement checkered spinner targets for the playfield?
The ones put on here aren't original and don't spin very well.

Today I started removing paint and cleaning more rust.

I then proceeded to clean more switches and to test the game.

Everything's there I just removed it for safe keepingimage-275.jpgimage-275.jpg
The whole machine is going to be disassembled, cleaned, restored, and rebuilt

I have the u plastic but I'm not sure where it goes

#22 10 years ago

Does anyone know where the u plastic goes?
It's completely clear

#24 10 years ago

Finally getting somewhere! I got the machine to start a game but it still doesn't fully work. The lights still don't work but the voltage isn't getting to everywhere so I'll work on it

#29 10 years ago

Now most of the lights work
image-248.jpgimage-248.jpg
The score reels for the 1000s and 10000s still don't work on anything
And the 10s chime stays energized.
Anyone know any solutions?

#31 10 years ago

:thinking:For some reason the machine worked perfectly after I turned it off then on
Everything worked so I may be able to start cosmetics!

2 weeks later

Over the past two weeks I made stencils of the art ,sanded some of the artwork, gutted the machine, and went to the local tournament at flippers arcade.
