Long time no see fellas;
A buddy of mine dropped off a Gottlieb Sinbad at my shop to fix for him.
It's basically an open checkbook repair, although I don't plan on charging him outside of parts costs.
Overall, it's in good shape physically. On the other hand, I didn't even bother plugging it in- the CPU board got pretty hammered by a - you guessed it - battery leakage. Currently replacing each pin in the connectors as the old ones have literally fallen apart
My plan is to do the basics- repin the connectors, rebuild the flippers do a quick shop on the playfield/clean up and wax. etc etc..
This is the first time I've worked on an early Gottlieb, and I'm seeing if anyone here has pointers for me so I don't miss anything getting it back up and running.
Parts for the early S/S Gottlieb stuff has proven to be harder to find than williams/bally from the same era..
If anyone has some pointers- please let me know.
