On a '68 Domino there is a dual bulb fixture in front of the roto target, what number wedge bulbs does it take? Mine are missing and for the life of me can't find the information nor is it listed in the wiring schematic.

I'm assuming 555's but you know what happens when you assume.

Thanks!

Picture would help clarify the precise question. I am confused with the word "wedge" and the date 68.... but I have not owned games that old so maybe its just me thats confused.... but a pic always gets a response!

Mine has 259s in it, which are the same voltage and amperage as the 555, but not quite as bright. The 259s also have a longer lifespan. Why 259s then? Maybe because they last longer, although they aren't hard to get to. Maybe 259s were more common in 1968. Maybe my game has the wrong bulbs. Maybe it's because Domino is Gottlieb's model #259! I think you'd be fine with either.

Here's Bill Ung's awesome lamp chart: http://www.zaccaria-pinball.com/misc/lamps.html

Here's a short discussion I found of the two bulbs: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/61475-13-lamp-experiment-what-what

Yeah, what a silly question!

Perhaps it handles the rigors of vibration better, being mounted on a roto unit?

Good thought, makes sense.

My Royal Guard uses those to light the score reels. I don't recall what #

Interesting. Totally different set up than the root targets I am familiar with.

Your on your way!

159 is another similar bulb
