    Have a 1976 Bank Shot.

The hundreds reel works as it should when scoring 100 points at a time (pop bumpers). When 500 is scored (roll overs & stand up targets), I'll get anywhere between 400 and 800 points...totally random.

Have gone through the schematic and cleaned & adjusted the associated contacts with no luck.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Check your end of stroke switches on the score reels.

Also, how easily do they rotate when you manually activate the solenoid? If they bind even a little bit it may not allow them to work properly.

I thought this felt like Deja Vu.

Someone posted a similar problem with a King Pin last month. Maybe some ideas here:

I had this problem on my TA and it was score motor switches.
