Also enjoying the thread very much. I'm working on doing a version of with the original score reels, will live on another floor and opposite side of house from the bedroom so hopefully won't hear in middle of the night. I love wedgehead design and am mocking up some 1/2 scale wedgehead designs to be fit into a 1/2 scale wedgehead. I have not verified that reels will actually fit in these locations yet, so will likely need to adjust, but here is some of my mockups (images scaled down). the reel locations are placed the same on the pairs so art could be interchangeable.

print reels in white and use clear stickers? heck, I might even try to stencil and paint those on since I have a vinyl cutter. hmmm, maybe black with red/orange digits like Gottlieb did on Neptune, etc.

So I'm still trying to figure out what's my main drive in doing this and I really think it's that it's a good vehicle for me to keep pushing myself to learn new things, it's a creative outlet and the fact that I'm selling them adds an extra layer to that as I have to figure out how to make this produceable at a small scale.
With each run I'm trying to figure out what the next challenge is (took it from a prototype with actual Gottlieb score reels, the one-off Atlantis model, the first 12 unit batch with microswitches, the 15 unit second batch with the reed switches, improved mechanics and the acrylic case model).
I'm still having fun doing it although it's hard to find as much time and space I'd like to but once the final 2 units are out I will most probably go back to the drawing board for a few improvements and figure out how many I want to do. Not sure when anything's going to come out of it exactly but it's very likely that this is not the end of the project.
Of course, I will keep posting here as things go.

I have my gottlieb score reels in a box waiting for me to have the time to get to making a clock, fun following along in the mean time.
