Can someone with a System 80 Gottlieb Circus manual look up which driver transistor controls the rotating target? Can't download the info. Already have the transistor replaced, but want to be sure the paperwork matches what I found.

Thanks!

So did you ever find a source for your manual? If you did, let's PM about this.

I'm in the process of bringing my Circus back from the dead.. The woman SAID they were playing it right up until they unplugged, and then used MASKING TAPE directly onto the contacts faces to tell them how they should re-attach the cables once they decided to put it back together. Unfortunately though, even after getting the goop off the boards, when they're plugged back in the game refuses to boot. As a matter a fact, I believe it's knocker coil is somehow locked on.

So. Until I too find a book for this sucker,, I'm a little bit at a loss. I have the Gottlieb repair wiki, and a couple of other sources for "fixit" manuals for Gottlieb.

Does anyone know if the edge connector's pins are crimped with the same tool used to crimp the .10s and .156s? I got the standard tool from GPE.

They are .156" connectors, so that tool will work (but note that there are separate crimpers for .100 pins and .156 pins).

I am also curios if someone found Circus Manual / Schematic PDF. Starting the restoration of a Circus and it would be very helpful to have it!

FWIW, the replacement pins used on the double row edge connectors (interconnection between CPU and Driver board and also from Driver to playfield) don't seem to be available anywhere so I purchased some EDAC 0.156" double row edge connectors to replace mine. If someone has a source for these pins let us know, Great Plains Electronics is out of stock with no replacements in site... Thanks!

My Circus is 100% functional, manual was very helpful in re-pinning connectors / double checking wiring, etc! Currently beta testing the new ARM System 80 Ni-Wumpf board which is working well so far. GREAT machine, really enjoying it.
