I think the actual size varies from machine to machine (depending on what 'toy's are on back panel). Usually CPU and driver boards are same height -- may need to measure one of them.

Can anyone recommend any replacement MPUs? I have not been out there to solve the issue yet but I’m thinking it would be a good solution for now.

Msg this guy on ebay. johan6685 Ive bought a few 80b mpu boards from him. All chips have sockets so if your pin eats it you can fix it. Switch matrix on the 80B can be a real bitch. And there was a guy on here selling replacement power supply's. You want 5v no more no less.
