That’s a good lookin Panthera chuckwurt.
If anybody needs some parts, let me know as I have a junk Panthera I need to figure out what to do with.

On the pops. Double check the pop bumper boards. These are prone to failure. And easy to isolate as you can move them from pop to pop.
On the coil. Check the diode and impedance/resistance of the coil.
I wonder if a shorted diode could be doing this
Humm, not much else there. I assume you checked polarity on the diode also.
Does any of the wiring around the pop bumper board look tampered with?
