Can anybody advise on what the correct ball shooter length should be on a Gottlieb Oklahoma from 1961?

The parts catalog says there are 3 lengths that use the beehive housing: 9", 10 3/4" and 9 5/8"

My game has been 'modified' with a circa 1975 unit..

Any help much appreciated.
