Gottlieb KING PIN - Project machine

Added: 2023-01-04 03:12:16 UTC • Ended: January 20th, 2023
Condition: As is

Price

$ 300

This machine was on its way to being one of the nicest King Pins ever. Now it's on the bring of being a parts machine. For $300, you can decide.

I lot of effort was put on the cabinet. Inside, were Pinball Pimp instructions, and the owner did a fairly good job. I would say the webbing effect was a bit heavy-handed, but overall came out very nice.

Backglass: The art looks good except for the translucent reds, which are heavily eroded.

Playfield is in generally OK condition, with some deep scratches around the pop bumpers. These should be mostly covered by the pop bumper skirts.

The mechanicals are all present. Drop targets all seem original and complete. Plastics are included, but the top-left one is broken, and may not be serviceable. Legs are NOT included. No back door. Apron, shooter gauge and trough pieces are present.

The bad: Two rails are missing. The right rail is present, but the left rail and the shooter lane rail are not. I do have a rail that is off a similar-era machine, but it is not correct. perhaps it can be adapted to work, or maybe it can also be used as a pattern to fabricate a new one.
