To get everything working on the playfield, (including the flippers, pop-bumpers, etc), you need to put the ball in the outhole, (at the bottom of the playfield), and let it serve the ball up to the shooting lane, (stepping the ball-count unit to "Ball-1). Until it's on ball-1, the entire playfield is dead! If the outhole doesn't work, go to the back of the machine and manually step up the ball count unit until you see, "Ball 1" on the backglass, (or playfield, wherever it appears).
You came to the right place to ask for help, and many of us are happy to help you. It doesn't matter what or how much you know about electronics, cars, or anything else....If you don't know how the equipment operates, you're not going to just "Dive in" and be able to fix it. There isn't a broken EM pinball that gets by me anymore, but I can't fix many things on my car and wouldn't even begin to try and repair my TV for instance.
