The shoot again and special inserts alternate during gameplay. If I knock down all drop targets and special is lit the game will award the credit. However, if shoot again is lit and the ball drains the game just moves to the next ball. I’m not sure how the logic works and where to look to troubleshoot. I have inspected the BX relay and the A relay and they seem to be adjusted ok.

Quoted from currieddog:

Do you have some relevant schematic snippets you can post?

Quoted from HowardR:What's this switch on the Extra Ball (BX) relay doing when this happens?
[quoted image]

When the last drop Target is dropped it momentarily pulls in. By inspection, that switch opens when the relay pulls in.

Should the relay stay pulled in until the next ball is served?

SOLVED!

HowardR you are a genius!

I figured from the schematics that a switch on the BX relay should hold on the relay as long as the nc runway switch was closed. It appeared to be closed but I cleaned it anyway and low and behold, the relay pulled in and held, thereby keeping the player unit from advancing. Fun stuff!

New problem while I have your attention.

On a 2 player game the game ends after ball 5 for player one.

Where do I look?
