Hello All
Wanted to share a few photos of my GST. I just recently wrapped up the restoration. Learned a lot about this very basic machine which is a lot of fun to use.
I probably paid too much for the original machine but it was fun to restore and fun can’t always be cheap!
I thought upon acquiring the machine that I might be able to rely heavily on Steve at PBR but this was not to be the case. Even though this was a “Gottlieb” product Steve had precious little information about it and further he had no parts whatsoever! Oh crap! I learned very quickly that the only way to get parts for these old machines was to wait and pray. Well I did a little of both and from what I have been told by others who have restored these little gems, found what I needed quite quickly. I have to credit another pinsider, wayner for helping me through this first GST rehab. Wayne shared with me that he had to get, if I recall, several machines to make just one or two. He also had to fabricate the coin box which was missing. I was lucky enough to have the original coin box cone with the copy I bought.
Well enough chatter. If theee is anyone out there that finds themselves with one of these and clubs use some help, let me know! Enjoy the pic’s. Included one before I started and then the balance after I was done
