On a Four Seasons, I've recently added a glass pane above the playfield and realised that some of kickers (4 out of 7) were bouncing the ball too hard / too high, so the ball hits the glass and I'm afraid it will break it. Even if there is no risk of breakage of the glass, the sound it makes is not very nice, so I'd like to fix it.
Do you have any generic tips on how to reduce/adjust the kick of the kickers in such a case ?
Taking a look at the metal parts I saw that part of the plates had usage dents in them (red contour points to that), and I thought reducing that dent with some material (tape to start off testing) might help, reducing the swing of the part. Is that a valid approach ?
I've read that the adjusting the solenoids might be a solution, adding resistance ? For the top 5 kickers they are moved by two solenoids, and the bottom two by one solenoid each (which are activated together).
Can anything be done on the metal parts ? Bending ? Filing ?
Thanks in advance for any tips.
