What are the 2 prime colours on this machine I am repainting it.

Pink and yellow?
I was looking into this a while ago. Caution: I am not an authority. The original color of the cabinet, pink, would probably be evident inside an original. They get dirty and odd real quick, though.
My estimate for repainting would be MONTANA GOLD--Bazooka Joe (Pink) & Shock Yellow Light.... and black, naturally.
Embrace the pink. It screws up the masculinity of the weak, but keep calm and endure. It was a bold choice in 1972, and it's pleasant amongst all the brilliant-white cabinets.
Yes, the cabinet base color is pink, with black spider-webbing applied. The stencil colors are black and yellow.
I always custom-match the colors when I do cabinet repaints, so I can't suggest any stock colors to use. As I'm sure you already know, the pink base cab color on this game faded badly over the years, so you'll want to get your base cab color match sample from under one of the metal side rails, or at least from the area under one of the legs.

This is a cabinet which typically shows extreme fade. These are a couple of pics one of the cab front showing the fade and one inside the backbox showing original colour.

As with TimMe I took the backbox to an auto paint shop and got a match.

Quoted from Raff:Hey Wayner did you make your own stencils.
Raff
Yes thats them in the pic.
Quoted from Raff:What did you use to cut them out with.
Raff
Makita jigsaw with fine tooth blade and 3/8in speedbore to start cuts. Cab/head sides are stencil mirror reverse so fine tooth blade ensures clean cut both sides.
Quoted from Raff:And the material is a that MDF 3m thick.

6mm. Bunnings have a 2400x1200 sheet for about $23.
That cabinet is beautiful. I'm glad to see when someone restores the Gottlieb's of the early 70s so thoroughly.
They tend to be half-restored or barely shopped, most often.
I am in the process of repainting a Flying Carpet machine as well. I found a good bubble gum pink (Valspar Cosmic Pink) for the cabinet. I ordered a sample jar from Lowes for under $10, but it took a few weeks to arrive. It was more than enough to do the machine. I still need to do some touchups and finish the black and yellow on one side.
Here is a before pick:
I was watching a YouTube video, and the maker of the video, said the pink paint was actually purple. It turned pink from fading over the years. I remember playing this machine back in the 70s,but I can’t remember if it was purple ?

You can see in the first picture of this thread--the places that didn't get sunlight preserved the color, and it was a bazooka Joe bubble gum pink.

Thanks! I came close to buying a Flying Carpet, but the owner painted it white!
