Having trouble with the Player Unit on a Far Out. The game finishes the Reset Cycle correctly and starts a game with Player 1, Ball 1 but then it gets confused. The sequence it follows for a single player game is:

Player 1, Ball 1
Player 1, Ball 2
Player 2, Ball 3
Player 3, Ball 4

Then the game just stops and does not know what to do next. If I manually push the ball out of the outhole and onto the shooter lane, it goes to:

Player 4, Ball 5

And again stops.

I have the schematic, but my knowledge of Gottlieb four-player games with a Player Unit is limited.

Thank you for the help, it was P4G that was always closed. This fixed the issue with the miscount of players and balls.

The next issue I had to tackle was the outhole coil not firing consistently. It ended up being the zero position switch on the Bonus Unit not always being in the correct state. It was tough to debug because with the playfield up it would always measure as closed and with the playfield down, it would switch back and forth between open and closed.

With these two issues corrected, the game now counts players and balls with no issues. There are still some scoring features that don’t work, but that’s easier debugging.
