    Hi everyone!

I am working on a Gottlieb Top Score 1975. It is about the reset. Here is a picture of the reset sequence and where it stucks (circled in red). I help manually the player unit to do the missing step. After that, the sequence goes normally until the end. I can play a normal game until the end.

    Thanks for your help.

Your excellent description of the problem makes it possible to pinpoint the cause to these 5 switches.

Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

For a switch to work 3 things are necessary:
    1) When open, there should be a small space between the contact points (duh)
    2) When closing, the long blade's contact point should push the short blade's contact point enough to move the short blade
    3) The contact points should be clean, which they usually will be if #2 is happening

A big thanks to HowardR. What you said is very helpful.

I diagosed this circuit and found something on the 10's score reel. There is a break on the 10's score reel reset contacts (even with the contact perfectly close). From the solder with the OR-WH-RED wire and the WH-GR wire, there is no continuity. I guess, I have to clean these contacts first. To be continued!

The reset sequence is working as it should after cleaning the reset contacts.

    Thanks again to HowardR
