Have you found the relays (BX and O) in paulace 's diagram? Can you identify the switches he has indicated, based on their wire colors?

If the ball is sitting in the outhole, the bonus counts down, but then the ball doesn't kick out - check the "Zero Position Bonus Unit" switch next - it's on the bonus unit, mounted under the playfield. You'll see it on this picture from Pinball Resource...

Here's a picture of the switch on the bonus unit. I've also marked the bonus up/down arms. With the power off, you can add and subtract bonus with those two arms. When the bonus gets to zero, the upper part of the circled make/break switch (WH-OR, WH-BL) should close and the lower part (WH-BL, WH-BR) should open. Make sure the switch is clean and operating correctly.
