Gottlieb, 1969I’m putting together an order from Marcos Specialties to replace the bumper skirts and platters on my three wedgeheads. Ice Revue and Cross Town both have circular skirts, but MIBS has the pointed skirts which Marcos does not supply in yellow, although they do have red.
Do these points serve any purpose or can I use the non-pointed skirts on MIBS too?

I'd check with Steve at Pinball Resource (PBR) before going to Marco for these items. PBR is the king of the EM parts.

Would all three of these originally had the pointed skirts? I have no idea if they had been replaced over the years. They aren’t museum-quality machines, but I would like to keep the as original looking as possible.

Thanks! PBR has the yellow and red-pointed skirts, but I don’t have an account with them yet and I was too impatient to go through their first order process. I’ll have to give them a call.

WHAT'S THE PART NUMBER???!!!!
I think that the part number is A1218Y for yellow but not 100 percent sure.
I'd recommend that you add the Gottlieb 1972 (Mibs) and the Gottlieb 1968 ((Ice Review, Cross Town) parts catalogs to your order as well. This should cover all your part number needs and show how some of the assemblies go together.

Just called my first order in. What a great guy!
He took the time to make sure I was getting the right parts for my machines and was very helpful in giving me maintenance tips. I will look to PBR first anytime I need parts.

Haha. Actually i don’t want to talk to anyone. Can’t remember the last time I called someone unless it was absolutely necessary.
I like talking to Steve. He has saved me from myself more times than I care to admit. As long as you have made an attempt to dig up part numbers I've found him to be very friendly and helpful.

Yeah for sure. They are awesome at finding stuff for ya too. I just email and describe the game and parts I need and include pictures to be sure they know what I want. Then they go try and find it. So helpful.
It’s crazy how much stuff they have.

Actually, that raises a question I’ve had. The PBR website says that you can order via e-mail, but your first order must be pre-paid. I’ve been ordering via phone for years now, would I still have to pre-pay my first e-mail order? If so, that would defeat the convenience advantage of e-mail orders, at least for that first time, so I’ve never done it. Anybody have any experience on this?

I’ve never once prepaid for anything.
Now i will have them email me a copy of the invoice right away so I can get a check in the mail to pay. I like to do that so I don’t forget to send the check. The only reason I still have a check book is PBR. Haha

Same here. I’ve never prepaid with them. On my first order, they just said to send a check within 10 days.

I made my first real order after buying a parts catalog from them. Got my indoctrination from Steve on the phone for ordering the wrong part that was listed in the parts manual. Nothing but emails orders since. No issues--just make sure to include your account number.

I've always ordered by phone... until my last order. This last order was by email and I got something I didn't expect - a tracking number! In retrospect, I guess they've never had my email (until this last order) to send the tracking info to?
Either way, I always get the order in 1 to 2 days...

They only started with the tracking info recently. They never used to send that.

Good point. After your first order make sure you lead with your Acct Number.
PBR rules tend to set a poor Pinsider straight in a hurry.
