Hey guys. Any EM experts here? So in pulling my hair out. I have a 1974 gottlieb duotron. It was working ok but now I have an issue. Its went away on its own but now its back. After hitting the credit button the machine begins its startup cycle, score reels and player unit all reset etc. Problem is the score motor keeps running and at the same time the stepper unit under the playfield advances as far as it will go but the solenoid keeps firing like its trying to advance further and it stays stuck that way. Any ideas where to start? It first came up after I cleaned the score reels, but it just went away on its own and played fine for a few days and then came back. I cant seem to find anything wrong with the reels so Im assuming the problem is further down the line. I got this machine about a month ago and its my first EM.

Yeah its the bonus stepper. What do you mean by points? The gold rivets or the pegs that move over them? I have already lightly sanded and cleaned the rivets and added a light coat of teflon lube but I just realized I never cleaned the pegs. Ill try going over them and see if that helps.
