I have a 1961 Gottlieb Corral I am helping a neighbor with.
On the playfield there is a wagon wheel with numbers 1-10 and a rollover button that credits the lit number with the corresponding backbox light. It is controlled through the 0-9 unit in the back box.
The rollover button stopped working. After cleaning 0-9 unit, the rollover works randomly, and the lights are random instead of sequential. The 0-9 is a continuous stepper, so I assumed the contact plate could be reassembled in any position and still work. Am I mistaken? I have adjusted it and readjusted it with no improvement.
I’m including a few pictures. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would look at what unit the lights run through. it should be a bonus type unit. I would check there first

Looking at some photos online, it is likely the lights are operated by the rotating target unit on the playfield.

Yes the wheel lights on the playfield are controlled by the 0-9 unit in the backbox. I have cleaned it and it got wonky when I re assembled it. I keep feeling like I have the Bakelite plate with the spring contacts in the wrong position but as a continuous stepper with no step down coil I feel placement of the plate shouldn’t be an issue

Anyone happen to know what value this old resistor is? It’s on the rollover control relay. It’s the only one I can find on the game and can’t find it on the schematic

Thank you Howard!

As for my rollover and light problem, I was adjusting the plate on the 0-9 unit properly but found the gear was moving past its stopping point making the pins miss the contacts. After some minor adjustments to the mechanism it is working very well now.
Thanks everyone!
