Hey Guys-

Just wanna say thanks in advance, through all the lurking here and support, I was able to get my Gottlieb Lucky Hand up and running like a champ. Well, I'm hooked...I saw a 1970 Gottlieb Extra Innings locally for a solid price ($350). Game wasn't working, but after some cleaning, rebuilding the chimes/bell, lighting upgrades, flipper rebuild, and some various relay/switch troubleshooting she's playing pretty nicely!

Finalizing on a few last issues, first thing I wanted to try and has was the coin door. These are setup for one coin- one play, but I notice the coin switch has no effect. I typically have to manually trigger the S-relay to get things rolling. I've also noticed the coil for the "coin trap" mechanize is totally shot (destroyed), but that shouldn't have an effect ( I don't think) as I'm manually triggering the coin/credit button.

Things I've tried:
*cleaned and measured continuity on the coin switch
*cleaned and measured continuity on the start button
*made sure the anti-cheat is not open
*tried giving the jones plug by the door a clean

I've put my order in to PRB so still waiting on the schematic. The coin mech is totally shot, so I removed it and manually have been triggering the coin switch. Is there a particular Voltage across the switch leads I should be seeing? Maybe anything I can try to short/jump to test? I

If anyone has some other advice or tips on what to try I would appreciate it!

Little pic of the growing gameroom!

My toddler is loving the chimes and knocker

Looks like PBR got hammered with some snow, so hopefully they’re back in the office I can get a schematic in a week or two.

I think I’ll try to manually jump the coin slot power at the door Jones plug (once I can verify which slots it should be). Unfortunately wires are so dirty it’s hard to trace the colors

The schematics the seller had in the cab were actually foe jungle king! I guess rookie mistake, make sure your getting the right papers haha

Quoted from KenLayton:

I think 1970 was the year Gottlieb switched from 120 volts AC on the coin switches (and slam switch too) to 24 volts ac.

Perfect, less chance of me really hurting myself LOL. I may take my DMM later and poke around on a few of the Jones plugs. Appreciate the tip!

May also try to undo the wire loom as well and see if I can trace things easier. I’ll most likely just run them all to the plug switch on the front (since it’s one credit one play). If it’s like my lucky hand, game starts once a credits applied

Hey guys-

Sorry for such a delay, baby #2 came, so I’ve had my hands full!

Had a chance a few days ago to get back under the hood. I gave the main reset bank (not sure if that’s the proper name) a good cleaning and adjustment. It was a hot mess, prior owner(s) must have had sausage fingers!

Anyway, once I did that, I noticed my coin switch was working properly to add credits/start the game

Still hunting down some other issues now, but one thing fixed! No more manually hitting the S relay to start things up
