Hello,

I have a stupid question. I bought a Genesis pinball with a totally stripped coin door. The assy's are there to hold the coin chutes, but no chutes or credit switches. I have a couple DE coin chutes I tried putting in the door, but they don't fit. The alignment pins on the front are larger in diameter than the holes on the door.

Are Gottlieb coin chutes unique? Where do I get a couple?

More or less.

System 80B games use doors made by Coin Controls. A few common parts have been remade, but most have not. You will likely have to find another coin door to salvage parts from, but these types of doors don't seem to surface too often.

From the 1992 parts catalog:

If you're a member at KLOV, here is a picture I.D. of all the parts for Coin Controls doors: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=325061&highlight=Coin+Controls+door+parts

I also listed the parts here:

Thanks. I am a member KLOV. Been a long time since I signed on. How difficult would it be to swap it out with a DE coin door? Splicing the wires isn't a problem for me. Just wondering if the dimensions are the same. Thanks for all the input. The guy had a make shift free credit play button. I should put it back, and take a pic. He had the credit wires hooked to a push button switch with a home made bracket screwed to the coin eject button to give credits. At least he didn't drill a hole anywhere on the cabinet/coin door.

Nope, you don't need it if you have an EPROM burner.

I do have a burner, and have burnt quite a few eproms.

I was just going to put it back to take a pic and show the hack.

Thanks for the link.
