The slings on my capt card are very lame.thinking about removing some windings to lower resistance.as of now there 5.5 ohms.any suggestions on how low to go on resistance.i was thinking 3 ohms.

First check the condition of the slingshot switches to see if they are dirty or pitted. If they are pitted, replace the switch contacts/blades. Also, check the slingshot assembly linkage for any worn parts. A hotter coil might not help if there are wear issues with slingshot assembly...
