I am having an intermittent problem with my 1976 Gottlieb Buccaneer where it will not complete the reset sequence. After powering the game on, and hitting the credit button, only the sequence relay bank pulls in to reset. The score motor turns only 1/3rd revolution and stops. The GI lamps do not come one, the score reels do not attempt to reset, the ball count unit does not attempt to reset and the ball return relay does not activate. Repeated attempts to start a new game via the credit button result in just hearing the score motor turn and the sequence bank pull in.

I had this problem once before but the problem went away after letting the game sit overnight.

Any ideas on where I should focus my efforts?

What do the Reset Completed (AX and AXR) relay coils do when this happens?

Neither of the AX or AXR coils activate.

Quoted from Gotemwill:

Neither of the AX or AXR coils activate.

When you press the Replay Button, if the Start (S) relay activates but the Reset Completed (AX) relay coil doesn't activate, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires
