I bought a machine and the previous owner has removed the lock from the back box. So when I fold the back down the glass will fall out, which isn't good.

I would like to put in a lock or some mechanism to keep the glass secure during transport. How come I can't find any locks that are listed for Gottlieb machines on Marco, Pinball Life..... Google?

This is for a Super Mario Brothers

Look for a 5/8" lock.

Miat common locks are basically a universal part, and aren't really branded for any one specific manufacturer.

I also need the metal plate that spans the wood for the lock. Are those also all the same size and if so then why do they specifically say Bally/Williams on all the descriptions?

On closer inspection and slower reading, I now see that is states: Associated Part -Lock Mounting Plate for Backbox #01-9519E (Used on Williams/Bally/Gottlieb® 90's Games).

Thanks, late night shopping doesn't work sometimes I guess.

Yep, just search for that part number--a few suppliers have it.

I'm having the same issue with a gottlieb Freddy. Anyone happen to know the thread pitch/length of the lockplate mounting screws?
