Steppers typically get dirty and gummed up over years so if it's sticking and not moving you'll want to disassemble and clean all the moving parts. Isopropyl alcohol works great to clean stuff out.

Could we have some more details on the issue? Doesn't count up to 15K? Stops counting up at some lower value, consistently? Doesn't award bonus at end of ball? Stops awarding bonus early, leaving some for the next player?
