    Quoted from Tubtub:

I have a gottlieb cross town that started to blow fuses and narrowed it down to motor coil with 1.6 ohms of resistance. What is a normal value for a gottlieb motor winding? And how often do these go bad? The only info I seem to find is how to stop motor from running and nothing else. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

1.6 ohms seems way too low. I would have guessed 20-30 ohms. Did you contact Steve Young at PBR and ask what he knows about testing these? He knows a ton about these kind of motors, and may have new/used or maybe rebuild kits for it.
