Quoted from Noobee:I have a Gottlieb Atlantis and am wondering about how the right Outlane is supposed to work. Atlantis has a post at the base of the outline and a gap in the outline ball guide. On my machine, when the ball comes the outside lane (goes over the 9) it almost always deflects past the gap and feeds right to the flipper with no nudging necessary. Is this typical? I would think that as often as not it would have a tendency to drain without nudging. Wondering if there is some sort of set up detail that I am missing?
Yes, that's pretty normal. I'd guesstimate that when the ball comes down the right outside lane -- if it has enough momentum -- it deflects past the gap and feeds the right flipper 70% of the time. I tend to lose the ball out that right-hand gap more often when the ball rolls FROM the flipper back out toward the right side when I'm trying to cradle the ball for my next shot at the drop targets.
