My Royal Flush bonus just keeps going though it's sequence over & over. If any combination of drop targets are dropped & the ball drains the bonus ladder just continues, doesn't stop. Anybody have any ideas what going on?

Can you elaborate? Has it ever worked? What is the bonus arrow doing? How many points are being added at a time? Is the I/Bonus Unit relay stepper moving or trying to move? Does it happen even if there should be no bonus (for example if just 1 jack is down)?

MarkG, yes it has worked before but just started this issue. It only happens when there is a bonus lit, so if no combination of drops are made making a bonus lit, the bonus ladder doesn't go though it's sequence & the game advances to the next ball. If any drop combination is made & a bonus light is lit, it goes though it's sequence lighting the arrows from 1000 to 5000 scoring the lit drop combination, then starts over @ 1000 to 5000 again and keeps repeating & doesn't advance to next ball.

isnt there a stepper for the bonus? Check the solenoid that resets the bank, if the bank doesnt reset I think you'll end up with this issue. So either bank fuse or the contact that drives the reset is dirty... 120v reset i believe

Yes, there is a stepper & seems to work correctly except it just keeps on going. The drop target bank resets fine, if I knock down a K & J no bonus is lit & the bank resets, then advances to next ball.

I did originally check those switches & they work properly, but dug deeper into them & found a short in one of them. 1 switch had continuity when open only when the jones plug was attached, otherwise unplugged it was good. So I traced that switch to the 8B relay in the reset bank, it was jammed out of place not resetting.
