My Gottlieb 2001 is exhibiting an odd behavior. It seems to do it most of the time, but not always. The symptom is that all of the eject-type holes, including the outhole, act like they are on a hair-trigger. The ball just has to barely touch the hole and the game immediately tries to kick it out. It's really noticeable on the outhole as the kicker is failing to push the ball to the plunger on the first kick because the ball just hasn't settled into the hole enough. On the top holes, it's tending to punch the ball into the glass because the ball hasn't settled.
Is there anything that might be unique to these wedgeheads that might cause all of the kickers to behave this way? They do not always do it, but mostly they do. It's almost acting like the ball touching the metal arm is somehow triggering them. Is that possible? Doesn't seem likely that every switch is at fault.
Thanks for any advice. The game plays fine and everything works otherwise.
