Just set up a 1962 Gottlieb AAB flipper clown pin, cleaned all the Jones plugs, checked all the fuses when I powered on the ball count unit (which on this game is called a balls to play unit) fires in both directions simultaneously, the step up and the step down coils fire constantly, and the score motor keeps running. The trough ball release solenoid does not fire but all the score wheels go back to zero correctly. Unfortunately I do not have a schematic for this machine. Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Mopar Thanks, flipped up the reset bank and checked all of the contacts (and tightened switch stacks for good measure), double checked D and it looks like it’s functioning properly. In the reset position, the balls count from 10 down to one then game over then the D relay trips and then counts all the way back up to 10 balls once it reaches 10, the ball count coils fight each other.

Thanks. Serviced the ball count unit EOS switch and checked/cleaned the rivets and wipers as well as the other contacts in the unit. No luck, both up/down coils fire simultaneously as well as the back box animation coil (clown hitting ball).
