Quoted from ibuypinballs:Wayne. How did you make out with your strength testers.
Unfortunately I have not made much progress. I have been involved in resto of GTBs Spin Out & currently Golden Arrow as well as other arcade & slot machines. I also must mention a model train layout I am setting up for my Grandson for Christmas.
You have done a great job on your grip tester & stand and you have made some interesting decisions on refinish.
I have a grip tester which will be a keeper, is totally original and operates perfectly. I have close to the original red paint to refinish & fresh decals to apply.I did manage to fabricate a stand made from a recycled hotel bar stool.
and the machine has an original coin box-these are sure difficult to obtain.
I have sufficient components to complete a further two, maybe three, grip testers. But I am stymied at the moment trying to find a chrome plater who can/will plate the cast sections. In particular the cast section which secures the dial glass I have found to be extremely fragile, particularly around the screw holes, and it seems most machines being sold have this component damaged. In this regard I may need to take your option on refinish.
You need to be a bit more specific on the parts you need.
What do you refer to as the needle behind the dial:

and behind the grip:
The coin box comes up for sale occasionally but now pretty rare. Alternatively with some basic tools one can be made:

Yes those pot metal components were very prone to breakage but they also took some severe punishment en route.
This is a pic of some broken components. The arm you refer to as the needle I actually repaired. It was broken off at the end and using cold weld, bracing sections & bolts & nuts it went ok. You may be able to pick up the join in the pic. But yours may be broken too close to the pivot to repair.
Quoted from custer:nice coinbox! good idea!
okay i have some photos of the parts im searching,im desperate.
a picture of the pointer arm.
and the part thats behind the grip on the inside.
there is a piece broken. in the yellow marking.
i hope somebody have some spare parts!

You could try John Zuk who I have purchased strength tester parts from in the past:
