My aftermarket sword snapped the other day (put on by prior owner, I think it's the mezel one but not sure). I found the original in the coin box and installed it, but it's not functioning correctly.
When there is just one ball in there it seems to be fine as the up-post release is timed with the fall of the sword. But if there is more than one ball in the lock the sword goes down and often gets kind of jammed in there, pressing the front ball against the up-post and the whole thing just sticks that way. Of course it releases upon the next fire of the lock coil but it seems to be putting a lot of pressure on everything in there, to the point where it's probably going to break the up-post (not to mention that it's striking the balls pretty hard, probably causing damage to them).
Not sure I'm putting this a way that is understandable, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the thickness of the sword itself (the stock one is much bulkier than the mod)...does this sound like something that has happened to you, and if so how did you fix it? Is there any kind of adjustment that can be made here?
