Quoted from beelzeboob:Have you seen some of the characters on the premium? Even I don't know who the hell they are, and I've watched every season.
You know nuthin', beelzeboob.

I think at least a couple have arrived - see Got, Premium Unboxing thread.
My distr was supposed to get his shipment today. Delayed until early next week. We'll see...
I also prefer the blue playfield. But prefer the LE cabinet art. As noted above, side art is much less visible with the machine tucked into a row.
I'll likely be swapping out the translite for Scott's artwork, should be arriving here soon.
I may add:
1. Blades
2. Side Armor (to protect button areas)
3. Mezel's Textured Castle Panels, the minute they are available
Aeon, check for the left orbit issue. Seems to be pretty common. Also, protruding screws in elevator and left orbit lanes. A new diagnostic option lets you lift the diverter to test if orbit passes all the way thru.
Spent a couple hours initially to clear these up. 100% now.
Good luck and enjoy!
Question I've been meaning to ask:
Knocker Sound - Is the loud harsh sound I hear after game-end score matches and sometimes at the end of WIC mode intentional? Is that a virtual knocker? That sound just seems wrong - like a chopped audio clip.
Anyone else hearing this?
Quoted from centerflank:LOL! Have you not played a Stern in the past decade?
Seriously, the answer to that question is NO. I've only played EMs and then my JP since I bought it in 2000. Since reviving my interest in pinball recently, I did learn I have a nice spot to play nearby to my house - Pinball Wizard in Pelham, NH w/ 100+ pins. Guessing I'll see lots more Sterns.
Quoted from Toasterdog:Has anyone else done this or even felt the need to?
This had not occurred to me, but might be a nice simple adjustment. At my 6.8 deg incline, the ball does not exactly rush to the in-lane. Could be fun to add some speed there.
Quoted from bhwolf:This is my first in-home use Stern and that knocker is god awful. I never really paid much attention to it in an arcade, but man, not sure how this got approved by anyone. First chance I come across some mod to do a real knocker, I'll add it. Otherwise, I think I'll turn it off.
Me too!
