Was playing an LE yesterday and got to pull of a move I've never done on any pin.

Had one of the mb's going, and managed to trap the ball on the left flipper in the upper plafield while keeping 2 other balls in play on the bottom. Worked out well. When the bottom balls drained, I was already set up to take a breath and relax and then get a clean feed to start things up again.

Cool game. I'm excited to see what future code will do.

Been playing a pro on location. Could use some intel.

It's set to casual mode.

When I hold in both flippers before starting a game, it let's me start it in Competition Mode which let's me choose a house.

But then today I tried holding in the lock down bar button and it let me start in Advanced Mode, which also let me choose my house.

Scoring and game play seemed identical. Is there a difference between the modes?

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Curious about this too. Also, I didn't know that holding both flippers in does competition mode. Here are my guesses for the changes:
No extra balls in competition mode
No random mysteries. Everyone is presented with the same options if going in to mystery with the same amount of gold
The pop bumper awards are not random either.

Was definitely able to get an EB out of both modes.

Not quite familiar enough with the awards yet to make the call about them.

Quoted from Luckydogg420:

If your hands are holding both flippers, what are you pushing the start button with.

What can I say, it's a good game

All of my playing of GoT recently has had a side affect when playing other games.

Was out last night playing some pins, and whatever I played as the ball was draining, I slapped the lockdown bar to try and cash in my gold before I drained.

Looks kind of silly when most games don't have a button there...or gold to cash in.

Quoted from markp99:

Hah, I was wondering if this was a thing - cashing out just before draining (a bit like JP Smart Missile).
Does this actually have any effect? How tight is the window to cash out?

You usually have enough time to do it. And it depends how much gold you are cashing in, but you get some points for sure. The window of opportunity seems pretty generous.

However, I reread the official rules put out by stern yesterday and they seem contradictory.

In the rules, it specifically mentions that it is likely a good idea to cash out your gold in this fashion. It says something along the lines of, if you don't, you'll be leaving points on the table.

But then somewhere else in the rules, it says that the amount of gold you have has some type of effect on your bonus.

So maybe cashing out your gold all of the time isn't the way to go?

Anyone have any insight?
