Quoted from Ballsofsteel:i've had flipper problems with mine. had to replace both flipper EOS switchs (broke in half), had to replace both EOS switch adjucators (broke in half), had to re solder both flipper coil wires back onto coil terminal (1 even had the entire solder tab break off the coil). over time, the balls just kept banging the balls guides back. i noticed that the returns were making the gameplay super tough (lots of SDTM and sling returns, which required minor adjustments.
Broken EOS switches and switch actuators are fairly common these days. I don't get nearly as much play on the new flipper assemblies as I did ten years ago. Only major item that has broken on my GOT Pro is the sword bracket under the playfield, coil stop at bottom of bracket snapped right off. Replacement part is beefier, so that is good. Replaced all but one set of opto switches. Also, an unusual issue cropped up a few thousand plays ago where the game would choose a house on its own at the beginning of a game. Tracked it down to a connector of a ramp opto switch, reseated the connector--not at the board but between a female and male molex connector, problem went away. Haven't seen that exact issue on any other new Stern, and I have seen lots of opto problems on newer Sterns.
All in All, game has been a workhorse, players love it, and I clean/maintain it at least once a week. Game has around 14,000 plays.
