New 1.20 bug fix update released a few minutes ago

PRO V1.20 - January 7, 2016

New:

Node Board Code v0.16.4
- During the first boot after installing this code update,
the node boards will be updated to v0.16.4.
- Improved the the status on the screen while node boards are
being programmed.

After node board code update completes successfully,
the message "UPDATE SUCCESSFUL" will be displayed for a few seconds,
and then the game will enter attract mode.

If there is a problem during the node board code update,
the message "UPDATE FAILED - PLEASE POWER-CYCLE GAME" will be
displayed. Turn the machine's power off, wait long enough
for the machine to fully shut down, and then turn the machine's
power on.

If this problem persists, go to the NODE BUS TEST MENU
and scroll through each node board in the display for
more details on the node boards' status.

- Improved handling of overcurrent conditions.

Fixes:
- If the final shot of a mode was the right ramp, the a lit SWORD was
awarded and then immediately collected.

V1.19 - December 30, 2015

- Added a display to show the status of the node runtime code programming
process.

Fixes:
- Some dedicated switches were inadvertently being marked as bad in the
previous code release.
- WINTER IS COMING was advancing/starting on shots that it shouldn't have.
WINTER IS COMING should only progress and start from "Frozen" shots.
- ICED OVER (Frozen) shots were not always being indicated properly.
- TARGARYEN LEVEL 2 and 3 audits were not being handled properly.
- Issue with node runtime code programming: nodes were in an undefined
state after new node runtime code was written. The nodebus power is now
cycled to ensure all nodes are fully reset after new runtime code has been
written.

Tweaks:
- LANNISTER BUILD AWARD now displays the actual number of lit shots added.
- Default high score entry for WINTER CHAMPION was adjusted.
- Corrected spelling error on WINTER IS COMING total.

LE/PREMIUM V1.20 - January 7, 2016

- Automatic strength adjustment for THRONE eject. The system will determine
the softest kick strength necessary to ensure reliable ejection of the ball.
This feature can be disabled/reset in the adjustments.

Just got our Game of Thrones Pro in today.
Plays great.
It came with 1.17 code and since we did not have time to update we played a few games.
What is with all the sound stutter?
Is this a known problem and does 1.21 fix it?
On our first game the sound cut in and out so bad you could not understand most of the longer call outs.
It got better the longer we left the game running but never got 100% stutter free.

But now that I am home and reading through the 1.21 code update I see that it indeed does.
So all you really had to say is "Yes".

- Addressed a couple sound issues. Sounds should hiccup less.

The fact is I just opened a brand new game.
The sound was horrible.
It was so late at night we had no time to try the update even though I had downloaded it last week.
So instead of worrying all night and most of today if my game was broken, I thought I would ask some of the nice people on a pinball forum.
Sure seemed reasonable at the time.

Oh, and Game of Thrones Kicks Ass.

Since 1.21 the stutter is gone again. Sometimes the volume greatly increases for 1 or 2 seconds, but that does not happen often.

Have not noticed the crow sounds.
But I guess I will the next time I play because I will be listening for them now.
The end game match sequence reminds me of the opening of the old Scooby Doo cartoon.

Still pretty unclear on rules! Coach me up!

If I start a house battle then Blackwater multiball, do the house shots still count? Yes, but the timer is still counting down as well.

Also why would I ever decline a house battle? If per say you know your next locked ball is ball three you can decline the battle so you can pull the mode into multiball.

If I have all the houses blinking but not all lit, what should I be trying for next? Challenge houses til they're done? Yes completing 4 houses will start Hand of the King mode. Very lucrative.

What is Swords about? according to Stern, Swords are needed to unlock higher levels of playfield and combo multipliers.

How does the Wall multiball get advanced? It is only advanced by completing the two top rollovers or a pop or dragon mystery award. When you see the animation after shooting the ramp it is just a delayed graphic.

What's the deal with wildfire? It gives you end of ball bonus at the expense of jackpot value? Wildfire increases the Jackpot value and does not decrease. You can build up more wildfire by hitting the two green standups and then hitting the battering ram instead of locking a ball.

Will this fix the left and right orbit shots that don't register sometimes?
I have a pro and sometimes we do not get credit for perfect shots on the left or right orbits and the switches test fine.

Still running 1.21 on my Pro but no skill shots have been missed yet.
That is a strange problem you are having.

Have not tried Midnight Madness yet.
However I just had my best game tonight. 3.8 Billion.
Completed every house but Targaryen.
Found out just how cool the rules are in "Winter Has Come". If you don't make the shots in time you will get "Frozen" and the left flipper goes dead. You must shoot the center ramp with just the right flipper working to "Thaw out".
I love cool little code things like that.
What a great game and I hope we get even more cool stuff added.

Yep.
Right orbit now seems to be registering much better. I have only played about 10 games but so far I have not had a single right orbit shot not register. fingers crossed.
