Quoted from markmon:

the pops reward the reels not at the wall multiball. I believe that is achieve by completing the winter is coming hurry ups.

Wall multiball is reached by completing the top two roll over lanes a certain number of times. If you are house Baratheon, you get there faster.

Completely the WIC hurry ups gets you winter has come wizard mode. Not sure if it's a multiball or what.

Yes, the pops award the slot machine reels and the rollovers advance the wall gear. Some bounce back up into the lanes helps. Wall MB is not a quick 'gimmee', you need to play for it if you want it.

spoiler: Hitting the flipper buttons in attract mode plays some excellent callouts. One of them, the girl says "Give me your money!".

Yes 6-balls - not sure how many balls Hand of the King is or the wizard mode but definitely 6-balls are in the machine

#204 7 years ago

I've only seen 5 of the six in actual play so far

I've played GOT pro today.
Fantastic game!!! I love it !!!

#207 7 years ago

Great to hear the pro is getting such positive reviews, cant be long until someone receives their LE - YouTube video please!

I remember you told me at Pintastic, "The more balls, the better." But I didn't think you were talking about the games.

Pintastic New England, everybody. Great show. (And a free advertisement from The Boob.)

Am I the only Canadian pinsider to have this game?

Can we get this changed into an owners thread too?

nope, placed an order, there is none at the distributor now (only demo), next week it's not possible for me, so it will be here in 2 weeks.

Nice, biggest score I've seen was 7.8b

#216 7 years ago

That's obscene! Verging on AFM type scores. Wonder if they'll address the high scoring / long ball times in future codes updates - or is that what people want?

#217 7 years ago

Is your score 18 digits long? Wtf?

And that's the replay score? Which is usually less than the actual previous scores?

#219 7 years ago

Is there some obscure replay score setting in the Spike options?

#220 7 years ago

For Real!.C'mon man!.

#221 7 years ago

Its a glitch. I got a similar score on WOF years ago.

Have any of you guys with the GoT pro installed a shaker? Any issues? I will have my game on Thursday and have a shaker on the way. I want to be sure there are no issues installing...

I am wondering how well the Shaker motor is implemented in the code. Example : Stern Star Trek LE . The best I have ever played with a shaker. Almost every shoot on the table will activate the shaker . Stern Star Trek added some shots with more intense shaking . It does this so well I am now spoiled. I hope Game of Thrones implements lots of shaker motor action. Please chime in if you have played GOT with a shaker. Thanks a million .

Quoted from vicjw66:

It was a code glitch, not my actual score. I'm good...but not that many zeros good. We've had a 12 billion score here locally, but my best personally is 6 billion and change. Not sure what caused this. Default replay was set at 1 billion. I assumed it doubled to 2 billion after that as I cracked it twice in a row with a 2.3 billion Martell game and was now playing my third game. For fun I chose Tyrell and ended up putting up a 3.2 billion game which was good enough for high score #1 and House Tyrell champion. When I looked at the replay award after entering in my initials this is what I saw. I got a kick out of it, so I thought I would post it.

For big scores on GOT, it isn't long ball times, it's the Super Jackpots during Wall MB that do it. With playfield and shot multipliers you can get some crazy big Wall MB Super Jackpots. On my 6 billion plus game, 4 billion plus was from the Wall MB and on the 12 billion game, 9 billion plus was from Wall MB. Iron Throne can also be worth a couple billion if you play it well too.

Correct. So as of now, you don't have the game which doesn't prove that Rob_G isn't the only Canadian with the game.

I installed pinball life's spike shaker motor and it's quite good with the game.

As far as the "high scoring", that's intentional. The King himself declared it to be "more fun" on the dead_flip stream.

#232 7 years ago
Quoted from Rob_G:

and Stern has gone back to the old style flipper coils (2 lug, KISS had 3 lug?).

Ok, HANG ON THERE... That is news to me. They went back to the 3 lug coils to have an honest to goodness hold circuit instead of the buzzing being caused by the on/off power cycle to keep the flipper up. That was going to be a nice feature of SPIKE games, no more buzzing. I've only played on location, and mine game is on order (this doesn't impact my purchase of course).

I'm just curious, are the buzzing flippers back? Wouldn't that be the natural thing with 2 lug coils? Or did they fix it some other way?

Does it roll over at 10B? Internally too? I suppose this is the first Stern where 10B+ games are actually feasible.

No, it displays the full score.

okay. I preferred the scores Stern had previously been using, this feels inflated to me. But it's all relative so who really cares. I don't have more fun with any particular point scoring. If a billion is easy it's no more fun than a million.

I observed some casual play of it this weekend. It seems that for more casual/novice players, it scores about the same as any other Stern. You pretty much have to "work" for your inflated scores here.

And frankly, I have as much fun scoring 10 billion on AFM as I would 1 *million* on WOZ.

No, they don't buzz. According to the feature matrix these are new 'buzzerless' 2 wire designs.

I really like the higher scoring games. Getting my ass handed to me by TronLE or IM and scoring 3 million isn't as satisfying as scoring a couple billion on AFM. I do realize that it truly doesn't matter but I hated the scoring on my WOZ. On the early WOZ code, I could score feeble amounts of points. To state the obvious, it's all about the specific game and my own talent level.

#240 7 years ago

There have been some people in the Hobbit thread asking for a setting to add zeros to the score. PLEASE don't tell me there will be people in here asking for a setting to remove some from GOT.

#241 7 years ago
Quoted from Rob_G:

GoT is very different from ST and no, I would not say it is redundant.
A game that more resembles ST would be KISS. For example, Klingon multiball plays exactly the same as Demon multiball right down to the roving jackpot shot.
Rob

So after a weekend of play how do you like GOT vs the other pins in your collection? I know it's still early but how do you feel overall? Anything you really dislike about it so far?

Low scores can be very frustrating on WOZ but when you crack the Mil it's an achievement!
Cracking a Bil on most other games is just as awesome. It's horses for courses and level of experience.
I find non pinball players that play my machines seem to get more of a sense of achievement with the higher scorers.

Even with inflated scoring I lost by 9000 points on a match on GoT! And that's a nice score Ben put up with the 12B! Seems like Tyrell is a really popular house to play here as well with that inlane multiplier!

haha and if you hadn't lost that match I probably wouldn't have won the tournament.

Blackwater multiball lighting effects are certainly way over the top and not really well choreographed to the action going on. I don't mind the intensity, it just goes on too long and makes it impossible to know what you are supposed to shoot. 'Winter is coming' lighting effects are fine. About the only thing I dislike is the translite. Oh there's far worse like Met Roadcase so I can live with this.

I think from what I have seen in photos and video. The GOT Pro has the Best translite. As a fan of the HBO show. I like that most of the main characters I have seen in the series are pictured on the Pro model . What do you not like about the translite ?

I don't watch the show so I don't know the characters. I guess it's not that bad really... But to me 'real faces' and pinball just don't seem to mix well. It's more about art and so forth I think.
