Yeah it wasn’t during a mode, but thanks for the suggestion.
Quoted from swampfire:Question for Pre/LE owners: can you make the right ramp from a cradle on the right flipper, or only on the fly? I think I need to tweak mine a little.
When my game has just been cleaned I can make that shot almost 100% of the time. As soon as it get the slightest bit dirty, then it's down to about 50% and has to be hit perfectly.

Yeah a quick dab with Novus 2 gets it right back to where it should be. I would always know when it was time when it would get really slow up towards the top.
If you guys are having problems making the center ramp with left flipper, check out this adjustable screw on the top. Should be able to loosen, slightly adjust ramp, and retighten. My guess is the way the two ramps rest on each other effect left flipper shots, maybe something about the right ramp on the premium makes it more unreliable. May be worth a try to adjust and see what happens.

Ok sell me your machine already...

I installed a ColorDMD in my GOT last week. It’s a huge improvement, even more than any other of my CDMD pins.
Quoted from wilsonza:Anyone have thoughts on a shaker motor and/or ColorDMD? Considering both.
The color dmd for GOT is the best I've ever seen. Seriously, It's night and day. You can actually make out the characters and scenes. Highly recommend. I'm a fan of shakers too especially in GOT. Hitting the dragon or SJP is awesome.
Quoted from wilsonza:Anyone have thoughts on a shaker motor and/or ColorDMD? Considering both.
ColorDMD is a big improvement for every game, but I'd consider it an absolute must on GoT. Those original red DMD video renditions are just awful looking! The ColorDMD images look 1,000% better.
Quoted from wilsonza:Anyone have thoughts on a shaker motor and/or ColorDMD? Considering both.
They’re the only two “must have” mods for this game. Both improve the game a lot
I have both and love them, but if I had to pick one I think I would go for ColorDMD on this game. It's really well done.
guys I'm out, I needed a change in my games, and I really enjoyed LE. But keep playing this great machine !!!!!
Quoted from LOTR_breath:When my game has just been cleaned I can make that shot almost 100% of the time. As soon as it get the slightest bit dirty, then it's down to about 50% and has to be hit perfectly.
I cleaned my ramp and I’m at 75% now, so I’m happy.
I picked up a ColorDMD today. Hoping it arrives in time for a weekend installation.
Haven't owned one since an AFM from back when they were locked to certain machines. These appear to have some sort of smoothing. Do you enable that or no?
Still not able to get the left/mode start ramp from the left flipper. And man is that Dragon shot tough for some reason. Impossible from the left, very tough from the right.
Final question - I adjusted my slings to be very sensitive. Now they pick up a lot of my pass attempts. A few bounces from the slings seems to drain the ball down the outlanes in short order. When I first picked it up, the slings were tuned to be very unresponsive. It took a hard, direct hit to fire them. How are yours set/adjusted?
Last one - one of my spotlight flashers is missing. Where do you pick up a 5 volt #555 flasher? I tried PBL and Comet but couldn't find a #555, only an #89 (https://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=4821)

Just use a standard LED. Those work. I have opti max bulbs in my spot lights.
on that spot light note..where can you get those forks to hold em in...after this shaker install I'm having to push em back in every dozen games or so, lol

Not sure. Mine had them stock. Maybe stern will send you some?
I'm still out of the club... but I had the chance to play my old GOT at a friends house Thursday. It kicked my butt, but it was a fun time. None of my shot memory was left, so I was Lannister-ing every standup.
Quoted from Chisox:Also a big shout out to chuckwurt for his awesome walkthrough/tutorial. It’s probably the most helpful and in depth tutorial on a pin that I’ve ever watched and I’m only through part 1. The game is making a lot more sense now. Thanks!
That tutorial is a must for owners of this game. I still suck at it but thats my fault not Chucks.
Quoted from Chisox:Finally in the cool kid club. What a fantastic game.
Welcome to the club. Nice translite.
Quoted from T-800:Welcome to the club. Nice translite.
Thanks. I’m not a mods guy but that thing is a must for this game. Nice work.
Are there any t-800 transliteration our there that don’t cost $300+? Had a chance to get one for my LE but was talked out of it when they were still available. Stupid impulse control
Quoted from TheLaw:Yeah a quick dab with Novus 2 gets it right back to where it should be. I would always know when it was time when it would get really slow up towards the top.
I would use Novus 1 unless you have embedded swirls. Novice 2 is abrasive and takes off clear coat. Novus 1 doesn't and also doesn't remove wax.
Quoted from Chisox:Finally in the cool kid club. What a fantastic game.
That alternate translite kicks ass!
D9C8F4DE-1DB4-4A2C-AA9E-A91DD41FFE49 (resized).jpegJust installed some Cliffy's in the shooter lane on my GOT pro.
There aren’t many pics out there regarding the installation of the 3piece set, so I decided to post and share.

I’m thinking about joining the LE/Prem club, but I wanted to ask those who have owned theirs for a year or more—does the game still kick ass?
Quoted from Alamo_Pin:I’m thinking about joining the LE/Prem club, but I wanted to ask those who have owned theirs for a year or more—does the game still kick ass?
I have a pro model but yes it still kicks ass after nearly two years of owning it. No plans of letting it go at all.
Quoted from Alamo_Pin:I’m thinking about joining the LE/Prem club, but I wanted to ask those who have owned theirs for a year or more—does the game still kick ass?
LE still kicks ass for me. Very solid game.
Two questions:
1. Lots of opinions im sure, but Pro or premium/LE
2. More importantly, where can I get one of the alt translites?
I think Id love either the pro or premium/LE, but need a different art package.
Play both, and form your own opinion - that’s the only one that matters. But that topic has been discussed to death if you search the thread.
I have an issue with the right orbit
The ball gets stuck under the gate.
I've done the thread search and found others have had similar issues but, I can't seem to find the definitive answer to the problem..
Do i raise the gate a couple of millimetres or to the right a couple of millimetres...?
Any help greatly appreciated
Quoted from Alamo_Pin:I’m thinking about joining the LE/Prem club, but I wanted to ask those who have owned theirs for a year or more—does the game still kick ass?
I've had mine since about a month after the LE started shipping. I also own METLE, AC/DC Prem, TFLE, AV Pro, X-Men Pro and GOTLE is by far my favorite game and the one I play the most. If you can convince yourself to explore the game you will love it. If you are the type of person that selects _____ 99% of the time you press the start button I could see how it could get old.
Quoted from Alamo_Pin:I’m thinking about joining the LE/Prem club, but I wanted to ask those who have owned theirs for a year or more—does the game still kick ass?
Yes and yes. Still such an awesome game.
Just wanted to chime back in on this thread. I’ve owned GOT for 6 weeks now and can say that GOT does indeed kick ass. A day does not go by where it’s unplayed. I find it to be the most balanced game I’ve played in so many areas including: difficulty, flow vs. shot making, variety of modes, game length, wizard modes, and the list goes on. Such an awesome game.
leaving the club GOT Pro and most likely joining again at the premium level as I am over the having better flow kick at a better price.. now the games premium price has dropped I am now going to upgrade while the price is in the low / timing is everything /
At least that is what I am trying to convince myself on anyway regarding the super inflated new Imaiden pro price is now and will get a used one down the line
Quoted from swampfire:GOT does indeed kick ass, and I play mine a lot. I just wish I got to HOTK more often.
I feel your pain! Last night I finished Targaryen to the tune of 1.25Bil. Then the dog got under me and distracted me just in time to drain. So a 4.2billion game with no HOTK. Arrggg!
Has anyone had to replace the bracket that holds both the sword lock and diverter post mechs? Mine was still working but started making a strange noise, almost like a flipper buzz noise. I opened her up to find the coil stop(which is built into the bracket) severely bent. I straightened it out but after less than one game it was bent again. Part number is 515-9805-01. Apparently the part has been updated from -00. I will see if I can get a pic tomorrow.
I have an issue with my sword lock mechanism itself and when I contacted the distributor they ended up sending me a new bracket. Unfortunately for me the bracket was not the problem. It took 5 months to get the bracket, I’m hoping it doesn’t take another 5 months for the right parts.

What’s wrong with it?
The E clip on that mech broke on mine recently. Then a week or two later, the bracket broke also. Granted, these were the only things that went wrong in 10,000+ plays.

I’ve bent the bracket that holds the sword on top of the playfield so it works. Now just waiting to see what Stern sends next for parts.
