I have a Gorgar with the bottom segment out on player 3 and player 4 displays. I have confirmed the displays themselves are fine. I noticed on the display board there is an obvious resistor that is burnt and most likely bad. Could this be the problem? If so what resistor do I need to replace this sucker? Any advice or suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!

"Players 3 & 4 Segments

BCD inputs are A2 B2 C2 D2 from the MPU board
MC14543 BCD to 7-Seg. Decoder IC8
UDN7180 Display Driver IC10
Resistors R8-R14"

page 15 in the .pdf manual shows the burnt resistor is R11 part number 58-8981, FC, 10 K OHM 10% 1/2 W. That falls in the range Pinwiki lists as potential problems so I think you're on the right track.

Great info! I always forget about pinwiki! Thanks again!

If it burns again, you have a bad gas display.
Change one of the player 3 or 4 to one or two adn see what happens.
Check the value of the other resistors too.
They might be out of spec.

Good advice... can you check resistors in place or do they have to be removed?

You check the value in place.
