I'm working on a Gorgar. I've never encountered such problems before so I'm stumped. Game plays. In attract mode both flippers are always active. Also, when pressing left flipper during attract or game play, speech triggers where you hear "Gorgar" every time you press the left flipper. Everything else in the game works such as solenoids, cpu controlled playfield lights.

Some trouble shooting already done:

female/male mpu and driver board interconnect already changed
power supply capacitors replaced
All transistors checked and found to be working properly
A three driver onboard 6821 PIA's changed and socketed

After changing all the aforementioned, no change. The mpu board I'm using is a System 3 converted to system 6. Conversion is fine. New program and flipper roms burned. Anyone have a suggestion? I'm curious as to what controls the flippers to stay on all the time. They should shut down.

Hmm. I may need to buy a new one and try it out. What would make speech come in with left flipper use only? Every time I press the left flipper it says gorgar.

Part #1 solved. (Flippers no longer on during attract mode). The fix is Q13 (2N4401) transistor needed to be replaced. It was shorted which caused the flipper relay to stay engaged at all times. See attached circled pic.

Now, I can't figure out why I keep getting the gorgar speech when the left flipper is pressed. I checked all switches. None are closed. Anyone have any ideas?
Could someone take a pic of the left flipper wiring at the coil?

He says Gorgar each time the left flipper is pressed.

Gorgar speech when using left flipper fixed. Left flipper diode fell off. This caused back flow to the sound board. Replaced diode and all is well there.
