Gorgar Williams, 1979

Just got my Gorgar back up and running. I had the combo MPU board out trying to get another game working... The Gorgar will boot up and work. HOWEVER when I close the door or push in the High power button... It will freeze up... And just go back to OOOO on all displays.. I can turn it off and back on and play. but then same things happen.

Any thoughts . ??? Help Testing..Fuses tested fine, I think... Shorts ??? THX for any ideas... I have some testing and manuals to read for sure... Just getting some ideas for Wednesday.... THX> NT>

It sounds like it's not keeping settings stored in RAM.

Do you have the rottendog MPU327? Check the lithium battery. I had the rottendog. It never really worked. I discovered, among other things, that it would drain that battery in the course of a day or two.

It has the stock combination boards.. The ones that 40 pin together.. THX> NT

Why are opening the door? To credit up? Still sounds like batteries to me and it's not holding the settings. Put a meter on the holder and check voltage.
