This is pretty awesome, lots of soundbites from the movie, custom DMD artwork, specific character modes

Always thought this was a no brainer title.

Dats wat I said, Booby Traps

Yeah, this would have been a good license back then.

...because they might have daddy long-legs in 'em ...and dead things Mikey, DEAD THINGS!

    Yea!!!!

    Nice!

Is this a conversion of a game, or a brand new build?

Oh man, go back and watch that movie...it's 100 times more annoying than you remember it was, I promise. I don't know if I'd want to hear all those shrill-voiced shout-outs.

But it is surprising that it didn't have its own pin back in the day.

    #9 6 years ago

    Very cool.
Thanks for posting, I forgot about pinsimdb!

They have some tables that vpforums.org doesn't.

How dare you speak against the Goonies!

I watched the movie for the first time in 25 years with my 8 year old son. I thought it held up well as a fun escapist adventure. Just a few things jarred a bit, but can be expected when viewing anything from a different era (making fun of the fat kid, Asian kid is the typical stereotype nerd/brains), but otherwise it could be made as-is today.

    Ug. I just did!

I loved it when I was a kid, believe me. Only speaking for myself, I guess, but the actual movie didn't live up to my nostalgia for it.

    Best movie of all time.

I think reading the VPforum progress, it may have started out as an indiana jones, but they modified it quite a bit

    Very cool!

I remember our coach took our whole baseball team to see this at the theaters - awesome! I'll never forget getting the trading cards and stumbling upon the one w/ the octopus scene. Hmm, didn't recall that in the movie. Still a scene I wish they would've kept....

As far as licensing goes..... correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't really become vogue again till Data East? Soo many movies released in the "bad years" of pinball: Ghostbusters, Terminator, Conan, Indiana Jones, ROTJ, it goes on and on. Granted we have some of those titles now, but would love to see some of these guys at their zenith.

    #18 6 years ago

    wow have to try this!
congrats on such a fine pin

    #19 6 years ago

I think Data East should have made this happen.

    Truffle Shuffle multiball!

This would be my first NIB if it was the case...

It's a conversion of stern's Indiana jones by the look of it. With the arc changed its hard to tell but the bumpers, scoop, captive balls, orbits, spinner, targets and ramp are all identically placed.

    Looks fun

Looked fun, downloaded Future Pinball, downloaded the table, ran it. Boom. "Future Pinball has stopped working". Yes, I ran it as administrator as the site says for Vista/Win7.

And then I remembered why I never try to run games on PCs.
