Born and raised in Philadelphia and have been all over through my 66 years. Chink's has been on Torresdale Ave. in the Northeast since 1949. Two years ago changed names to Joe's for politically correct reasons. I understand they now also have a location in Fishtown. Great steaks and great milkshakes.

I have eaten 100's of cheesesteaks and there are many good ones in the greater Philadelphia area. I still love Chink's/Joe's!

Agree on the assessment of Pat's and Geno's, but they are tasty and are part of the South Philadelphia culture. They are definitely worth checking out. Go before an Eagles or Phillies game, or right after Wing Bowl!

Welcome to Philly. It's a great town.
