Quoted from TheLaw:

Before it was a Stern hate fest, it was a Stern love fest. Many many threads praising Gary for "getting pinball through such a rough time" yada yada....just as fucking annoying.

so according to you, its equally annoying when stern is being praised for their accomplishments as it is when people are vocal about their issues with stern.

in case anyone was wondering why pinside seems to be at the bottom of sterns priority list, here it is, LOL.

Quoted from TheLaw:

Someone thanking Gary for keeping pinball afloat yada yada is just as annoying

well, just tossin it out there but im willing to bet that stern and pinside would have a better relationship if people werent vocal about how theyre annoyed by stern receiving praise. I cant speak for all of stern, or all of pinside, but if i was where stern is, looking at people being annoyed by the mere mention of my company (for better or worse) i too would be completely dismissive of their opinions. The vast majority of negativity directed at stern seems to be related to their lack of communication...with a forum that openly admits it will continue to complain...and is annoyed at the thought of them receiving praise...

Completely agree. It is very frustrating watching people complain about being overlooked as they bash those who they need the help from.

Quoted from tacshose:

I do believe Pinside has an affect on Stern and they do keep tabs on it. Lots of money comes from Pinside members to Stern, and no way they dismiss that. You guys act like Stern is a huge corporation.

That's wishful thinking.

No one thinks stern is a big corporation, but stern is a hell of a lot bigger than each customer. Hence, good sales but bad communication on a personal level.
