    Hi guys im from brasil, and it is my first topic, i need a help from you.
    My goldeneye display presents this problem.

    the dot matrix test is OK, ( pic 1)
    when i play, is ok when the display show just a numbers (pic 2)
    but when needs a little more "grafics" like a images or videos from the movie , the display faded out (pic 3, 4, 5 and 6)
    the problem is not continuous, sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not

    can you guys help me?

    It's likely starting to outgas. Not much you can do about that other than replace the display.

    so, theres no problem on the boards, is it a DMD problem?

    yes just like what ForceFlow stated,DMD's last for a very long time but not forever...There's one thing to try and see if it clears up the problem.Power off the game,reseat the ribbon cables in the backbox and the one going to the display.Do this slowly and gently so you dont miss or bend any pins.Post back what happens

    I already did a lot of it in my life already LOL ((
    i did a lot os stuff in this case, clean the boards, cleans the plugs and cables.
    i never change the cables and never change boards and (or) DMD.

    This begin to happen on my STTNG last night.Soon will need new one like your.

    the bigger problem is, im living in brasil, everything here is expensive, mainly for pinball, buy a new DMD is gonna be a big aventure

    The sooner you replace the dmd the better. Outgassing dmds put extra stress on the contoler board and can eventually damage the board to.

    Then try to buy second hand.At the market place have some good prices between 60-80$ for perfect condition.

    guys, id like to thanks everyone in here to helping me, we dont get this friendship in brasil, thanks a lot,
    i tested another DMD and works OK, the problem is my old DMD.
    thanks guys,
    now im gonna create a new topic from goldeneye problem, LOL
