Quoted from Anony:It seems like they cut back the dev manpower for Golden Tee a lot. There are so many issues these days and even with players like Marc doing testing for them and working directly with them to understand what's wrong they don't fix much. I have a feeling the codebase is so old and fucked at this point that any fix immediately breaks something else.
I've seen some numbers and they're down to something like 1/3rd of the player base they used to have 10 years ago. Now they seem to focus on casino and mobile stuff, so it's a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy at this point. The player base won't improve if they don't improve the game.
Makes me think the PGA partnership was a last ditch effort to kick start the player base back to what it used to be. Problem is most casuals don't care and the hardcore players certainly don't care about PGA branding.
My thoughts exactly.
I was disappointed that Daly was not brought back- since i'm sure it has to do with the PGA tour branding. It was fun playing vs him.
One of the bars I spin a few games at has 3 machines. 2 legacy and one PGA. Guess which machine sees very little game play.
When PGA came out- I was at 90% to eventually purchase one....now i'm not even sure i'm at 10%.
