Thanks, I was in the process of doing that when you responded, it rebooted fine, still no online. Rebooted again, still no online. So either my machine got deactivated somehow during the patch application or they messed up at the start and gave me 2 months free online when it should have been 12 months. But I don't even see anywhere on the app or the website when I can check if my subscription is active or not.

I'm not aware of any way to check the status of your subscription.

I'd just leave it on and give it some time, or try forcing a call again. I've had it red light upon starting before but it usually comes back with a reboot or forcing a call to ITnet

Re-entering my wifi pswd helped with a similar issue back when we were getting one of the new courses added

Called their tech support today (Keith) and apparently this is happening to mine and one other PGA so far -- the patch installed on my end but the machine is saying to IT's end that it isn't installed, which then bars the machine from going online. His idea so far is to just leave the machine on all day today and tonight to see if it finally connects properly. And then what after that, he's not sure yet because he doesn't know why this is happening. Seems like in the future they need to have some kind of rollback/reinstall utility on these if it doesn't already in a hidden location.

I'll give that a try.

Basically did that last night when I switched the wifi the cabinet connects to from 5G to the regular band to see if that would help.

the 5 wood is the best chipping club in my opinion.

I was hesitant on the 5 & 3 hybrids, but I have come to LOVE having them in my bag. Reduces the profile of your shot so wind doesnt affect it as much, and on the first 'door' on Petra- the 3H will almost always get me on the green with a shot at eagle. Im using the Players Choise '20 clubs and grabbers. Speaking of the 'door' shot on Petra 5- hit this the other night. Low tee 'naked' -

Question, regarding the arcade bundle. Does the arcade collection bundle upgrade still allow you to have golden tee 21/22 (that’s what I have) plus the silver strike, toss, mini putt. Or are you converting it to just those 3 games. No golden tee. Or am I just reading it wrong?. Sign confused by IT wording….

Arcade Collection is a stand-alone system which includes Silver Strike Bowling X, Power Putt, and Target Toss all on a single hard drive. It runs with its own security chip and it's own CID and hard drive.

The only way to run Arcade Collection in the same cabinet as golf would be to use some kind of 3rd party switching equipment, like the Perfect Solutions switcher. But that would require you to have an extra computer and extra I/O board as well.

That’s interesting. Why would they then offer it for their new pga Tour Cabinets then. The Ultimate Bundle - GT PGA TOUR Deluxe & Arcade Collection Kit? It’s so confusing. No one is converting those pga tour units. Am I right?

They're offering it because they expect that you already have a Golden Tee Legacy cabinet, and you can install the Arcade Collection kit inside your old Legacy cabinet and keep using the old cabinet with Arcade Collection in it. Or re-sell the cabinet. That was the primary reason why Arcade Collection was developed: it was a way for Operators and owners of legacy pedestals to recuperate some of the cost of having to buy into the newly designed PGA Tour game.

Open it up and check that the PC is still secure. There have been some reports of the PC coming loose in transit because they mounted it with some pretty wimpy hardware.

Opening it is done by unscrewing the screws underneath the control panel.

Also, examine the control panel VERY VERY carefully. Nearly every unit in early shipments arrived with scratched tops.

fyi, the instructions on how to put the stand together are online only. do yourself a favor and print it out, otherwise you are going to be going back to your phone everytime you get something done or have to check the direction of a part.

Just got on a par 5 green with eagle putt. Reasonable distance. But the hole location was on steep incline. I 5 putted for double bogey. Guess i wont win this round heh.

Setup difficulty is usually in between silver and gold bracket set ups.

Eagel's Peak came out two days ago... it's quite hard though and I'm seeing a ton of complaints about glitches on facebook. People are actually asking IT to take the course away because its so broken.

Conversion complete! One thing that sucked was 2 buttons where broken ( red and green one) upon arrival so I had to take out 2 from the GT control panel and use those.

Do any of the games have online features? I liked Power Putt a lot but with a dozen or so courses and no online modes it got boring kind of quickly.

Yes- lots of issues with this course.
Turbo putts, tee box issues, I've even seen a replay of someone using a wedge from about 30 yards off the green, chipping and as soon as contact is made it appears that the ball hits a wall and ricochets straight backwards..... INCREDIBLE!
It didn't used to be this way- new courses with lots of glitches.....
There used to be lots of beta testing before release.

It seems like they cut back the dev manpower for Golden Tee a lot. There are so many issues these days and even with players like Marc doing testing for them and working directly with them to understand what's wrong they don't fix much. I have a feeling the codebase is so old and fucked at this point that any fix immediately breaks something else.

I've seen some numbers and they're down to something like 1/3rd of the player base they used to have 10 years ago. Now they seem to focus on casino and mobile stuff, so it's a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy at this point. The player base won't improve if they don't improve the game.

Makes me think the PGA partnership was a last ditch effort to kick start the player base back to what it used to be. Problem is most casuals don't care and the hardcore players certainly don't care about PGA branding.
